The establishment of a Metro Station at East Boldon has resulted in severe street congestion due an over spill of commuter cars. Residents can no longer park outside of their own homes, cross roads safely or access their local shops. Commerce has also suffered with patrons spending their money elsewhere due to the lack of parking spaces outside of local amenities. This blog is a diary of the resident’s attempts to reclaim their streets!

MORE PEOPLE MORE CARS LESS SPACE
“Almost 38 Million journeys were made on the Tyne and Wear Metro system during the last year, the highest figure form 13 years.The figure represents a rise of 5.9% on the previous year, and means more than 130,000 people are using the Metro every weekday, and 170,000 at weekends.”
So said this weeks “Sunday Sun”.But what they forgot to mention was that they all parked their cars at East Boldon!
